When a material threat of conflict of interest or fraud strikes an organization, a Special Committee of the Board of Directors, supported by legal and financial experts, is often formed to deal with the matter head-on for the company’s various stakeholders, both internal and external.  These critical events require the experienced and skillful handling of key business relationships, governance requirements, and often the media, all while the investigation proceeds. 

CHS has been involved in several Special Committee and other forensic investigations.  We have the financial and investigative acumen to meet the Special Committee’s demands for timely and robust findings in order to quickly “get to the bottom” of the issues to help the company move forward. Our work often entails the scrutiny of publicly-available reports and expert testimony in court.
